Co-Executive Director, Christina King
Christina may be a bit of a newbie to the MAO system but she has a very extensive background in pageantry. She is a two-time state titleholder as Miss South Carolina Queen USA 2016 and the current reigning Miss Trans Illinois USA 2020. She serves on numerous boards both locally and statewide and chairs a commission for her city that is tasked with the mediation of discrimination and community education. She lives in Illinois with her 4 fur kids and is very excited to be working with MMC and their titleholders.
Co-Executive Director, Nicole Young
Nicole and her four-year-old daughter, Cora live in the Quad Cities. She works for the American Rental Association helping support the equipment and event rental industry internationally. Outside of her short glory day of competing for an MAO local, Nicole has been a pageant fan for as long as she can remember. She shares her passion with her stepdaughter who has competed on the Miss Iowa stage twice.
Social Initiative & Public Relations, Susan Fochs
Susan founded & serves as CEO to her non-profit Operation Not Alone which serves military members across the nation. Susan's dedication to her social initiative & the MAO system has brought her numerous awards at the state & national levels. Susan shares her expertise remotely from Madison, Wisconsin where she works as a Marketing director &
full-time kitten momma.
Personal Branding, Stacy Paper
Stacy has dedicated 10 years to MAO as both a competitor & volunteer. Stacy placed 1st runner up to Miss Iowa 2014 & has produced 4 state-level pageants for MAO. She lives with her husband, Austin & children, E'Mya (14) & Benton (5) in the North Carolina Triangle. Stacy spends her daytime hours as Digital Marketing Director & as a wedding photographer.
Talent, Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw
Mikhayla just finished her year at Miss Iowa 2018 during which she wowed the state of Iowa with her musicianship. Mikhayla is an accomplished violinist & overall musician. Her background as a musician & entertainer are sure to provide our new titleholders with the skills they need to entertain the Miss Illinois judges. Mikhayla currently resides in Rock Island & is a reporter for Channel 4.
Talent, Molly Phipps
Molly has spent the majority of her life involved in the Miss Iowa Youth, Teen & Miss programs. Molly placed 2nd runner up to Miss Iowa 2014 & was previously 1st runner up to Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen. Molly has an extensive background in dance, which has brought her numerous talent awards over the years. Molly lives with her husband, Sheldon & daughter, Claire just outside of the Quad Cities.
Interview & Public Speaking, Tianna Vanderhei
Tianna is no newbie to the MAO system, having served as Miss Wisconsin 2018. Tianna took home the preliminary interview award at Miss America & a well-deserved finish in the Top 15. Tianna is a Marketing & Communications specialist in Wisconsin, where she lives with her fiancee, Grant & their adorable puppy, Chester.
Business Manager, Ashley Allen
After briefly leaving the Quad Cities for college, Ashley returned to the QC and now serves as the Assistant Director of Student Inclusion and Diversity for Augustana College. She is also a blogger and entrepreneur. She is currently the Chapter Vice President to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Xi Eta Omega Chapter.
Social Media & Sponsorship, Maggie Gehlsen
Maggie has dedicated a great portion of her life to the MAO program. Maggie was the 1st runner up to Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen 2012 & just recently placed 1st runner up to Miss Iowa 2018. Maggie is a guru in all things social media, running a successful blog, online training program, & a constantly growing Instagram. Maggie will be serving our new titleholders remotely from her home in St. Louis.
Wardrobe Consultant, Naomi Horton Copeland
Naomi is a long time supporter of the MAO system & active volunteer in her community. Naomi has an extensive background in fashion working currently with White House Black Market. Her keen eye will ensure our titleholders are dressed for success. Naomi & her husband are proud parents of 2 sons who both serve in the US Navy.
